Can I participate from any tertiary institution?
Quizathon 3.0 is open to students from all Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
What can I win?
1st Place: ₦1,000,000
2nd Place: ₦700,000
3rd Place: ₦500,000
Prizes are also available for 4th–200th place, and the top three institutions with the highest number of participants will be rewarded.
How do I qualify for Quizathon 3.0 for free?
To join the Quizathon 3.0 without a fee, you need to have at least 2 of these 3 achievements:
✅ Join at least 3 Monthly Quizathons (March–August)
✅ Earn 500 points from correct answers, streaks, leaderboards, and challenges
✅ Complete 4 streak cycle challenges (that’s 4 separate 7-day streaks)
💡 Tip: Start early and stay consistent — last-minute rush is risky!
What if I don’t meet the free-entry criteria?
No worries — you can still join Quizathon 3.0 with an active premium subscription.
How do I earn points?
You can earn points through the following activities on the Distinction platform:
Streak Completion Bonus: 50 points for completing a streak cycle
KYC Completion: 3 points upon successfully completing the Know Your Customer process
Correct Answers: 5 points for every 50 correct answers provided
Refer & Earn: 10 points for each successful referral
Welcome Bonus: 10 points awarded upon account creation
Profile Update: 2 points for completing or updating profile information
What happens to my points if I qualify using them?
If you qualify for Quizathon 3.0 using points, the required points will be deducted from your total accumulated balance.
